KEYNOTE: Should issuers change governing law or introduce VP notes/settlement in next update or establishment of an EMTN-programme?

With the UK’s potential withdrawal from the EU increased focus has arisen for Danish issuers on change of the governing law of the terms and conditions of the notes from English to Danish law. Another recent development is a switch towards making it possible to issue VP notes and apply VP settlement under the EMTN programmes. This presentation will discuss recent developments, including the pros and cons to be taken into consideration, by Danish issuers before deciding whether to change the governing law or introducing VP notes/settlement.
